Beautiful living room space
Beautiful home in the centralized Dogtown neighborhood with all of the modern amenities of a modern home in a historic neighborhood district. This home was built in 2004, however it had the furnishings of a home built in the early 90's! JS Community Builders changed every inch of this house and turned it into a customized home with a beautiful new kitchen complete with granite counter tops, stainless appliances and a built in desk. The master en suite was also completely overhauled with a walk in shower and all new tile. Ship lap was added to a few key walls, as well as crown molding to many areas of the home, along with other custom features like a pallet wall in the main floor bath, beautiful lighting fixtures, and luxurious hand scraped hickory hardwood throughout.

The front of the house with older, rusting black iron, which were replaced with vinyl

The front entry way of the house, with an unappealing dark green slate floor, golden oak hand rails, and worn out carpet

Looking down the stairs at the front entry

The main living area, with bland design, old carpet and zero appeal. We went with a beautiful hand scraped hickory flooring on the entire main level, and added several other luxurious features

The dining room, also carpeted pre-reno. We continued the hardwood, added decorative panels to the walls, cased the window and updated the lighting

The golden oak wood fire place, and brass hood. We added stack stone above, painted the wood and changed out the brass for oil rubbed bronze

More of the golden oak found in the kitchen on the cabinet and on the parquet style flooring

Another view of the basic kitchen this home had, pre-renovation. The kitchen was a total overhaul, where basically everything was changed

The master bathroom was seemingly small, divided with a wall to separate the toilet and shower from the vanity, so we removed it, added ship lap, new fixtures and granite tops

The beautifully updated kitchen, with new island, granite counter tops, stainless appliances and painted cabinets

A beautiful deck just outside of the main living space overlooks the back yard

The kitchen was in very poor shape, later the cabinets were painted, an island was added, along with new flooring, new fixtures and granite counter tops

The dining room was nearly shut off from the kitchen and living area, which we opened up to create an open living space

The carpeted living area was in need of attention, Pergo 24-hour Protect was added throughout the entire living area

The front entry and dining room, again more walls opened up and the parquet flooring removed

A small louvered door was the only access between the kitchen and dining room

Wallpaper may be making a come-back, but I don't think carpet in bathrooms ever will?

A double vanity in the master bath was later replaced with a marble double top and new chrome faucets

The walk in shower was demoed, subway tile and a semi-frame-less shower door added

The full bath for guests and two bedrooms was also carpeted, later a beautiful Travertine tile was added, the walls done in subway tile, vanity painted and marble counter top added
This home in St. Charles county had been built about thirty years prior to our acquisition, and was in need of a little love. Nearly every part of the house had something done to it, from paint and flooring, to tile and fixtures. With many homes, the kitchen and bathrooms are in need of extra special attention, and this home on Weatherstone drive was no exception. The most troubling aspect of the home were the carpeted bathroom floors, which were removed in favor of 16 x 16 Travertine tile. Each of the bathrooms also received new subway tile replacing the dated 4 x 4 wall tiles, and updated vanities with marble counter tops and chrome fixtures were also installed. The kitchen was completely overhauled with custom painted cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, oil rubbed bronze fixtures and a new center island, and subway tile back splash to compliment the theme throughout the house. Twenty-four hour water proof Pergo flooring was added to the main living areas, while carpet was replace in each of the bedrooms. A deck on the back of the home had been a little "well-done" i.e. a hole burned in it, so it was re-decked with cedar-toned wood along with new hand rails.

This beautifully remodeled home in South St. Louis County is in such a great location, close to all of the great attractions St. Louis has to offer, yet in a quiet neighborhood. I love the character this WWII era home offers, which is hard to find in any home built after that time. The sun porch that spans across the entire back side of this home is such a great space for relaxing or entertaining, and the remodeled kitchen and bath are just spectacular!
